Club & Director Info

Xtreme Lacrosse began in 2006 and has become a recognized and respected name in girls lacrosse throughout Central PA. Our club teams play represents the best of Central PA. Check out our college commitments and alumni pages.

Xtreme offers girls in Central PA the opportunity to develop their game to its fullest potential. Xtreme athletes are challenged to compete and learn in a positive environment. We want players to commit to working hard and to being supportive teammates and to have fun doing it! The ultimate goal -- success on and off the field!

Youth players are able to improve at a rate much greater than rec play alone allows. Our program builds skill sets that allow players to excel at the high school varsity level. Xtreme players make up a large percentage of Central PA players named each year to League All Star teams, US Lacrosse All Americans, Under Armour All Americans, and US Lacrosse National Tournament teams.

High school players are offered the best opportunities to be recruited to play in college by playing in the largest recruiting events in the country. All colleges recruit by watching club play. Our experience and involvement in the game ensures selection of the best tournaments and showcases that provide maximum exposure to college coaches and guidance throughout the recruiting process.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide a supportive and empowering environment for young ladies, fostering their personal growth and development as both athletes and individuals. We strive to cultivate a love for lacrosse while nurturing the values of integrity, teamwork, and self-confidence.

We are committed to equipping our players with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the sport of lacrosse, promoting their physical fitness and athletic abilities. However, our ultimate focus extends beyond the field. We aim to instill important life skills, encouraging personal growth and character development in every player.

Recruiting

Xtreme players have the opportunity to receive personalized evaluation, guidance, and honest advice throughout the recruiting process. Rising junior and sophomore teams have a club membership with IWLCArecruits. This is a extremely helpful resource that provides players a platform to handle all recruiting admin. Purchased individually, it's a $500 annual fee.

We have developed important contacts and personal connections with many college coaches throughout the country. Our connections and inside knowledge of the recruiting process afford High School players the best opportunity to continue play as a college student athlete. As a result, since 2011, we have players committed to and playing at a large variety of schools -- see list on the "college commitments" and "Alumni" pages.

Roster Size:

We like to carry 18 to 20 field players and 2 goalies on each team. Our average roster size is under 20. Some years are more competitive in Central PA than others so roster size will depend on a level of play line somewhere typically from 16 to 21.
What does a year with Xtreme involve?

Tryouts:

Tryouts are held in July. All players interested in Xtreme must tryout each year. Prior team membership does not guarantee future team membership. We strive to form the highest quality teams comprised of the most talented players.

Fall Season:
Tournaments in late October and November. Typically 4 for high school age players and 3 for middle school and younger teams. Fall practices will be held on weekend afternoons - typically Sundays - beginning mid September and continuing through the last tournament in October or November. We understand in season school sport conflicts and are flexible to work around those.

Winter training:
Team training will be held at Lanco Fieldhouse on weeknights in January and February. All teams will have 4 one and a half hour sessions open only to team players. Optional indoor tournaments will also be entered for those interested throughout the winter. In season sport conflicts like basketball make winter training optional.

Spring Season:

7th and 8th grade teams will participate in a limited spring season that will also allow rec play. Typically 3 Sunday play days (2 games) and a couple of practices. This fee is in addition to the annual fee. The structure and cost is unknown each year so it is added due in April, typically $200 to $300.

Summer Season:
The summer season begins after Memorial Day and runs through mid July. Two practices per week and 4 multi day tournaments are scheduled for each team through the summer season. Practices are typically held Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday in the early evening or morning.
